Up to 10 devices can be connected simultaneously. A free version without data limit is available.
Does Proton VPN run on European infrastructure? +
Proton VPN operates its own hardware. The Secure Core servers are located in Iceland (on a former military base), Switzerland, and Sweden (in an underground data center). These servers are shipped directly from Proton and connected via its own Local Internet Registry, with IP addresses Proton itself operates. No virtual instances on AWS or Google Cloud are used. The no-logs policy has been independently audited and confirmed in a Swiss court in 2019.
Which streaming services work with Proton VPN? +
With the Plus plan, the provider states that Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, BBC iPlayer, HBO Max, Hulu, and other streaming services can be unblocked via region-specific servers. The free version does not support streaming. The stealth function bypasses VPN blocks in restrictive networks and enables access even in countries with active VPN blocking.
