Otilus The European alternative to Asana / Trello

Otilus is web-based project management software from ICI SARL in Amiens, France, which operates under the name Agence ici. Each project is managed as a card on a Kanban board and brings together tasks, documents and notes. Alongside the Kanban board there is a Gantt chart, a central task list, a calendar with deadlines and views based on the GTD method and the Eisenhower matrix. Automated scenarios create and assign tasks when a project moves to another phase. Otilus runs in the browser and as a mobile web app; there are no native apps for iOS or Android.

According to the provider, Otilus is hosted in France in the Paris region, and project data stays physically on French territory. The legal notice names Agence ici itself as the party responsible for hosting. Otilus uses Matomo for usage analytics, and according to the provider there is no advertising tracking. Sign-in via Google or ProConnect is optional; according to the privacy policy only identification data is processed and no projects, tasks or documents are transferred. According to the provider, third-party service providers may be involved for some optional features.

Otilus is aimed at companies and teams, but explicitly also targets the French public sector, such as municipalities, inter-municipal bodies, departments, regions and state agencies. The software is available through the multi-vendor framework agreement of the state purchasing agency UGAP and is listed in the catalogue of trusted digital solutions (LSNC). Public-sector employees can sign in with their professional identity via ProConnect. For public authorities and municipalities, the provider offers setup assistance and training by video conference with a subscription.
