Frequently asked questions about Kehai

What is Kehai and what is it used for? +

Kehai is a cookieless web analytics service from Poland aimed exclusively at business customers. The script is added with a single tag and records visits without sampling or modelling. The service offers 26 reports, Web Vitals, UTM tools, goals and alerts, and depending on the plan also funnels, forecasts and revenue and product data. Data can be retrieved via exports, a REST API and a read-only MCP server. According to the provider, the service is built and run by a single person.

Does Kehai run on European infrastructure? +

Partly. The application, database and backups are hosted at OVHcloud in Warsaw, and the analytics data is stored there. However, Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) acts as a proxy in front of the intake hostname, terminates the TLS connection and can therefore read requests. Transactional email and newsletters run through Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) with storage in the USA, and inbound mail ends up at Gmail. Billing is handled by Stripe (Ireland, USA and other countries), and sign-in via Google or Apple is optional. The list of sub-processors is public, and according to the security page there are no certifications such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2.

How does Kehai count visitors without cookies? +

Kehai distinguishes visitors using salted hashes derived from the website, address and browser, valid for one website and one UTC day only. The salt rotates daily, and visits end at midnight UTC. As a result, visitors are counted exactly per day but are not recognised across several days. The script sets no analytics cookie and writes no visitor identifier to browser storage, but it does read page and device information. According to the provider, whether consent is required depends on the configuration and the applicable law.
