Helsing The European alternative to Palantir / Anduril

Helsing is a defence AI company headquartered in Munich, with further offices in Berlin, London, Paris and Tallinn. Its core product is the Altra software platform, which fuses sensor data from sources such as radar, radio frequency, optical and infrared in real time. The output supports situational awareness, target identification and electronic warfare. Helsing also develops AI-enabled drones and strike systems together with European defence partners.

For defence applications, Helsing does not rely on public hyperscalers like AWS, Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure. The software runs on the company's own hardened infrastructure in Europe and directly on military platforms (edge devices, onboard computers, tactical servers). Data stays within national or alliance networks and is subject to the relevant classification and export rules. The platform is designed to operate in air-gapped and restricted network environments.

The target customers are European armed forces and NATO partners that need AI-supported reconnaissance, situational awareness and effector control. Helsing works with defence agencies in Germany, the United Kingdom and France, among others, and with industrial partners such as Saab and Airbus. Known programmes include the integration of AI into Eurofighter demonstrators and the deployment of reconnaissance and strike drones in Ukraine. Private individuals and non-defence commercial users are not part of the target group.
