The app connects private individuals for long-distance rides and offers bus tickets via sister company BlaBlaBus. Does BlaBlaCar run on European infrastructure? +
BlaBlaCar is GDPR-compliant as a French SAS. The platform was migrated to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in 2019; the former BlaBlaBus infrastructure was also consolidated from AWS to GCP. GCP, as a US service, is subject to the CLOUD Act, but GCP regions in the EU (Belgium, Netherlands, Germany) are used for data processing. Payments are processed via Stripe.
