Frequently asked questions about QROVA
What is QROVA and what is it used for? +
QROVA is a web application from a sole proprietorship in Kasbach-Ohlenberg, Germany, that combines two areas. The first are dynamic QR codes in 13 types, including URL, WhatsApp, vCard, Wi-Fi, PDF, Google review, GiroCode and payment link, whose target can be changed after printing. A dashboard shows scans by country, city, device and operating system. The second area is bookkeeping for small businesses with cash-basis accounting (EÜR), a cash book, receipt management, invoices and customer management, complemented by DATEV export, ELSTER and a bank connection via PSD2. An AI assistant called LISA and AI receipt recognition support the bookkeeping.
Does QROVA run on European infrastructure? +
According to the privacy policy, QROVA is hosted at Hostinger, and the footer states a server in Frankfurt. The public data processing agreement lists Hostinger, Stripe Payments Europe (Ireland, transfers to the USA possible), MailerLite (Lithuania) as well as the Google Gemini API and, as a fallback, OpenAI as sub-processors, both of which may process data in the USA. The bank connection runs via Enable Banking Oy in Finland. Google Analytics 4 is only loaded after consent. According to the provider, QROVA does not operate a certified data centre and holds no ISO certification.
Which AI services does QROVA use? +
According to the data processing agreement, the AI assistant LISA and the AI receipt recognition run on the Google Gemini API. OpenAI only serves as a fallback when Google is temporarily unavailable. Processing in the USA is possible with both providers. According to the provider, QROVA stores IP addresses only as SHA-256 hashes. The data processing agreement is concluded via a checkbox during onboarding and can be viewed on the website without request.
