The platform offers cloud servers, managed databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), managed Kubernetes (UKS), object storage, and load balancers. Data centers are located in Helsinki, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, Madrid, Warsaw, Stockholm, as well as in the USA, Singapore, and Australia. The patented MaxIOPS storage technology delivers consistently high IOPS values without performance drops.

UpCloud is a Finnish EU company and operates EU data centers in Helsinki, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, Madrid, Warsaw, and Stockholm. Customers can specifically select European locations to ensure data does not leave the EU. UpCloud is ISO 27001:2022 certified and subject to the GDPR. The company is independent of US cloud providers and operates its own infrastructure. Additional locations outside the EU (USA, Singapore, Australia) are optionally available.

MaxIOPS is UpCloud's proprietary, patented storage technology based on hardware-replicated SSDs. It delivers consistently high IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second) values without performance drops under high load. This makes UpCloud particularly suitable for I/O-intensive workloads such as databases, e-commerce platforms, and applications that require low latency.
