Music Pitch & Speed Changer

Music Pitch & Speed Changer is an app for changing the pitch and tempo of music files separately. It comes from a sole proprietorship in Italy and is available free of charge for Android, iOS and Windows. Pitch can be shifted by up to 24 semitones and fine-tuned in cents. Tempo ranges from 25% to 400% of the original. An A-B loop repeats individual sections, and the key and BPM of a song are detected automatically.

The app needs no server infrastructure, because according to the privacy policy it works offline and does not connect to the internet. Audio files are processed locally, and settings as well as pitch, tempo and loop per song stay on the device. There are no analytics, no tracking and no accounts. The app is obtained through Google Play, the App Store and the Microsoft Store, which are platforms run by US companies. According to the privacy policy, Google Play and the App Store may collect download data under their own policies. One button leads to the developer's Instagram profile, where Instagram's rules apply.

Audio files such as MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC and OGG can be imported. Videos can also be opened, in which case their audio track is edited. Export is available as M4A (AAC) or as lossless WAV. It covers the whole song or just the loop, each with the set values for pitch, tempo and effects. The library remembers recently opened songs along with these settings.
