Auphonic The European alternative to Descript / Adobe Podcast

Auphonic is a cloud-based audio post-production platform from the Austrian company Auphonic GmbH, based in Eibiswald. The service automates common processing steps for voice recordings and is aimed primarily at podcasters, radio production teams, video teams, and online media. Auphonic is used through a web interface or via an API, complemented by a command-line tool and watch-folder integrations. Users upload audio material and receive a normalised and denoised output. Auphonic automates a number of typical steps from voice post-production. The Intelligent Leveler balances loudness differences between multiple speakers, music, and effects without requiring any compressor knowledge. Loudness normalisation ensures consistent levels according to standards such as EBU R128 or streaming targets. The platform also offers noise reduction, de-esser, de-plosive, and a bandwidth-extension filter. Optionally, Auphonic provides multilingual speech recognition with transcripts, chapter marks, and shownotes. Results can be exported in several audio formats.
