vBoxxVault The European alternative to LastPass

vBoxxVault is a password manager for companies and organizations from the Dutch hosting provider vBoxx B.V., based in The Hague. Credentials are stored centrally and shared within the team through custom roles and permissions. Features include SSO integration with identity providers, two-factor and multi-factor authentication, AES-256 encryption, audit logs and emergency access. Items, devices and syncing are not limited. Administrators receive reports on the security of user accounts in the organization.

According to the provider, data is stored in the Maincubes data center in Amsterdam and does not leave the Netherlands. Both the data center and vBoxx itself are certified under ISO 27001, and the certificate is published on the website. Daily backups are also created. AWS, Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure are not named on the product page. vBoxx uses Matomo for website statistics.

vBoxxVault costs EUR 4 per user per month. A 14-day free trial can be requested before purchase. A permanently free version is not offered. According to the provider, vBoxxVault is included at no extra cost in the vBoxx all-in-one package, which covers cloud storage, email and video meetings, among other services. Orders are placed through the vBoxx customer portal.
