Fastic The European alternative to Zero / Simple

Fastic is an intermittent fasting and food tracking app from Fastic GmbH, based in Berlin. The app combines a fasting timer with a simple food diary and hydration tracking. Users pick a fasting method and see progress in the current window as well as longer-term statistics. The app also includes educational content on topics such as autophagy, metabolism, and micronutrients. Fastic is available on iOS and Android.

Fastic GmbH is headquartered in Berlin and falls under German data protection law. According to its privacy policy, data processing also takes place outside the EU and the EEA, in particular in the USA. The policy lists Google Firebase via Google Ireland Limited in Dublin, as well as Google Analytics and Analytics for Firebase with servers in the USA. AWS and Azure are not mentioned. A purely European infrastructure is therefore not provided for the tracking and backend services in use.

Fastic supports several common intermittent fasting protocols through an integrated timer. These include 16:8 for beginners, 18:6 and 20:4 for longer fasting windows, and OMAD (One Meal A Day). The 5:2 scheme with two reduced-calorie days per week can also be planned. Users select their protocol and can adjust start and end times. The timer shows fasting phases, including the transition into the ketosis range.
