Hostinger The European alternative to GoDaddy

Hostinger is a hosting provider from Lithuania, founded in 2004 in Kaunas and operated through HOSTINGER, UAB based in Vilnius. The offering includes shared web hosting, cloud hosting, VPS, domain registration, email and a website builder. The services are managed through the in-house hPanel. According to the company, more than five million customers in over 150 countries use the platform.

Hostinger operates data centers in several locations worldwide, including the United States, and partly works with colocation partners. Within the EU, locations in France, Germany, Lithuania and the Netherlands are available, and customers can select a data center per site. Choosing an EU location keeps data in the EU. A purely EU-only operation is therefore not guaranteed; EU data residency is a selectable option.

Hostinger is based in Lithuania and operated through Lithuanian companies, complemented by a company in Cyprus. The company is majority-owned by its founders and employees. The only external investor is a German company that acquired a minority stake in 2021 without taking control. According to the available register data, there is no US parent company.
