Anytype The European alternative to Notion

Anytype is a local, end-to-end encrypted knowledge management app from the "Any" Association (Swiss association). The software works local-first: data is first stored locally on the device and optionally synchronized end-to-end encrypted with other devices via peer-to-peer sync. Features include notes, databases, tasks, wikis, and sets for macOS, Linux, Windows, iOS, and Android. The code is open source and available on GitHub.

There is no central cloud infrastructure in the traditional sense. The "Any" Association is based in Switzerland. The sync servers can also be self-hosted. Since no plaintext data is stored on servers, the hosting location question is less critical than with traditional cloud services.
