FabFilter is a Dutch plugin manufacturer based in Amsterdam whose products are used for mixing and mastering. The company FabFilter B.V. develops equalizers, compressors, limiters, reverbs, saturation, and other audio tools. The most well-known plugins include Pro-Q (equalizer), Pro-C (compressor), Pro-L (limiter), and Pro-R (reverb). The plugins are used in professional studios, post-production, and home studios. A characteristic feature is the graphical user interface, which makes many parameters editable directly in the frequency or time display.

FabFilter's plugins are downloadable software and run locally inside the user's host application without a permanent network connection. FabFilter B.V. is based in Amsterdam and runs development, distribution, and support from there. Account and licence management is handled through the in-house My Account portal. Downloads and updates are delivered via the company's own servers. The plugins themselves do not depend on any permanent cloud binding.

FabFilter supports the common professional plugin formats on Windows and macOS. These include VST and VST3 for most DAWs, AU (Audio Units) for macOS hosts such as Logic Pro, and AAX for Pro Tools. The plugins work at the sample rates and bit depths used in current production environments. Some products are also offered as AAX DSP for Pro Tools HDX systems. With this combination of formats, the plugins can be used in practically any professional audio production setup.
